Ad User Mailbox

I currently have a user that has a mailbox on a Exchange 5.5 server. I've noticed that here properties for the mailbox are not displayed, and when I try to move the mailbox it only allows me to create a new one. How do I make Active Directory aware of the fact that this user already has a mailbox, without creating a new one. All are other users that have mailboxes on 5.5 seem to be okay, it's just this one that's having a problem. Anyone have any ideas
