Apache 1.3 Installation problem on Win 2000

i installed apache web server 1.3.9 on window 2000 professional
on my PC. It installed properly and successfully but when i try to
start the server.
It opens server window and closes again.
I tested other versions like 1.3.11 and 1.3.12 but facing the
same problem.
I also tested on win 98 on my PC but same problem

I install apache on some other computer.There its working fine
i properly configured it with php and everything is fine.
But on my machine :mad:

Suggest if there any problem with my window.
please reply as soon as possible and someone can mail solution

Y'mean when you start the server a console window kinda blinks open and closes again? I've had that before too - so I don't use that window. :D

I either open the console window myself and type it in manually or I use the Apache Monitor to start, stop and restart. :)
