We have Exchange 5.5

Since installing Outlook 98, my rules have been a mess. All
Server-Side rules seem to have disappeared and now every
rule I try to create says it is client-only.

How can I clear our all of my rules and re-do them so they
are server rules?

Thanks!

Jim

OL98 Installs the Rules Wizard instead of the Inbox Assistant. Rules Wizard uses client side rules and basically sucks. Remove the Rules Wizard (under Options, Other, Advanced, Add in manager). The Inbox Assistant will auto-magically reappear.

I have basically the same problem but with a further complication. I wnat outlook to automatically file messages (based on content) into the appropriate public folders. I started with the Rules Wizard and got the client only response so I tried the the Inbox Assistant. However, the Inbox Assistant only seems to apply the rules when the copy of Outlook used to write the rules is running. I can find workarounds but i am curious to know what the point of server-side rules is if in order to function the client must be running.
