Could you please tell me how to disable a port for any IP Address
for a given protocol. i.e for a given system I want to disable telnet to another system through my server.
My server acts as a gateway.

I have reached till:

Control Panel->Network->TCPIP->Services->Advanced Security.

After that I am not able to enable the action for a particular port.

The above process is similar to Filtcfg in Netware 4.11

Your help in this is required urgently.

Thanking you in advance

Ramesh

I think that you can do this with a Firewall. i.e if you want to disable the access for an IP Address to the HTTP (80) protocol, you enter a line like:

DENY IP_Adress - 80

If you have Backoffice, there is the Proxy Server that should do this.

Hope I`ve helped you

Just click on advanced in the TCP/IP protocol properties.
Then klick on enable Security and then you can enable/disable unique ports for TCP/UDP/IP.
Good Luck,

Led
