Does anyone know of any pager notification software that works with Exchange? I would like to setup SQL Server 6.5 to send E-Mails through Exchange Server and page an Operator.

What kind of information do you want to page from the server? We have compaq server and we use Compaq Insight Manager to monitor the servers hardware. If any of the monitored hardware has failed it beep. If you have Compaq servers you could setup a the same thing.

I would like to monitor CPU, Memory, database space, locks, etc... From what I found out, I need to purchase a pager that has E-Mail capability. I thought I had to purchase another component for Exchange to be able to send out pages, but found out that I don`t. I`m trying to find some tools that would perform overall Network monitoring and process Alerts via Exhange or a pager when a threshold has been encountered.

RE: Paging software for Exchange. We installed a product that runs as a service in the Exchange DB. It is from Omnitrend. Beware, the setup and docs aren`t all that great but support was good about calling back with answers to my questions. Also beware it will add a Pager container to the Exchange schema.
OH! It`s called Pagemaster EX, also works for any Events in the NT Event log but this is a seperate product called Pagemaster EV

OH! It`s called Pagemaster EX, also works for any Events in the NT Event log but this is a seperate product called Pagemaster EV
