How to keep my server from "no end ping"

Hi,these days my server(NT4.0) often be pinged(maybe someone want to attack my server), so a lot of user could not see my site in the period of time, what can I do?(I`ve installed all the patch for NT4.)
I need help.Thanks in advance.
