After running service pack 3 our path environment has changed
and our custom applications will not work. We found that the
path environment had been changed. However if I go to:
Start/Settings/Control Panel/System/ and then select the
"Environment" tab. then select path in "System Variables"
and select the "Set" button. Our Applications now work.
The only problem is I have to log onto 4000 Windows NT
Workstations and do the above.
Anyone no how to do a set path using SMS ?
Many thanks in advance for anyone who knows how this
can be done.

Can`t you use the users login script to set the path environment?

The environment variables are stored in the following registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetControlSe ssion ManagerEnvironment
So, using SMS you maybe able to ADD values to this with you variables using a SMS Installer Package.
