Pub.edb Running out of disk space.

We have had our Pub.edb sitting on a drive with around 1GB of free disk space left. This hasn't been a problem has we have deleted around 5gb of data from the store. So for over 3 months we have had this free space. However a week ago we had to do a unclean reboot of the machine, as it had hung. Now for some reason the Pub.edb has increased by 1/2 GB in a week.

What is the best way of dealing with this ?

We have thought about
1) adding a disk to the Array and expand the disk size.
2) Running defrag and reclaiming the disk space. We have the spare capacity on another server.
3) Move the Pub.edb to another location using performance optimizer
4) Adding a second server exchange server and transfering the public folders to that server.

I'd definately say your best bet would be to run eseutil on it. Once that is done if you feel you still need additional space, then I'd consider adding additional disk space. Hope this helps.
