Hello:
I am unable to view the machines on my office network from my remote machine running NT 4.0 WS. The dial-up server is using SHIVA. No one has direct dialed my office domain. However, many persons have done so over the internet using either Win95/98 and NT 4.0. They have the same account type on SHIVA as I do. They can see the Windows network. I can connect and ping but I can see nothing on either the Windows or Novell networks. I have the correct WINS address for TCP/IP and I`ve IPX installed.
Is there something fundamentally different about a connection to a network vs. a connection to or through an ISP? I believe that I have DUN/RAS client installed properly but I`m apparently missing something unless the access of the network through SHIVA is different for Internet access as opposed to direct dial.
Any tips, hints, tricks, pointers, greatly appreciated.
