I'm trying to get the anonymous account to work with IIS 4.0 on a BDC. I can't seem to get it to work. I have told the website security to allow anonymous. i have re-keyed in the password for it in both MMC and User Setup so that I make sure that they are the same. I have even gone so far as to give IUSR_computer name change rights at the share level and in the security tab of the share. Does anyone have nay suggestions for me.

I'm sorry that i don't have a solution for you. I have the same problem. Everything worked fine until we setup a new PDC and the webserver box became the BDC. Now I can't even use ASP and I can't reload it because I get an error saying IUSR_computername account can not be found. The account seems OK and matches perfectly with the PDC IUSR account.
I'm considering a flush-n-fill solution.

Create the IUSR_computername account as a user on the web server computer itself. This should happen automatically if you remove and reinstall IIS. Make sure IUSR_computername has the same password everywhere it appears. In IIS4, on the web server computer, and on the PDC. If you are using SQL Server, do the same there.
