configuring iis4/5 to run server side java

how can we configure iis 4/5 for running server side java .class files when i tried to map .class files with the java.exe in the application properties page of iis even applets embeded in html pages fail to load giving errors that the .class files are missing. if we remove the mapping the applets load normally.
