To all,
I recently encountered a problem with the admin shares on one of my servers that I have never seen happen before. I lost the admin shares somehow ! I can recreate them with no problem, but on a reboot, they disappear. I have no idea what may have caused this. Has anyone seen this and does anyone know the fix ?

Thanks in advance,

To ensure that the admin shares recreate on reboot,

Run "Regedt32.exe" from either a command prompt or through Program Manager.
Change the following registry key to the new value listed:
Registry Path (for Backup Exec v7.x):
/HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/System/CurrentControlSet/Services/LanManServer/Parameters
Value Name: AutoShareServer
Value (REG_DWORD): 1
Exit "Regedt32.exe".

Hey Andy,
Thanks for the reply, I actually used System Policy Editor to get my admin shares back, but how do you know that we recently began backing up with Backup Exec from Seagate?
