Hello,

I'm working with Windows 2000 Advanced server, and occasionally I'm losing the ability to change the IP address on my lan connection. I'm not even able to get the window pulled up to get to TCP/IP properties.

Also, on the same machine, computer management snap in is not able to access the disk management tool to create partitions, etc...

Has anyone seen these occurences, and if so, any fixes? Would a service pack help at all??

Thanks!

Jim,

I have had a similar problem on one of my SQL servers. COme to find out I had a corrupt WINS database. Might want to look at that and rebuild it.

Good luck.
