Our ISP have recently changed their mail program to QMAIL, before they were using Sendmail. We are using MS Exchange 5.0 with ETRN to download mail from the ISP's mailserver via a Dial-up connection. In the Internet mail service properties there is a Connection tab, where it specifies "Forward All Messages To Host" we had a IP address of the ISP's mail server.
We have been told by the ISP that we can not send or receive E-mail by IP addresses, and they suggested using FINGER MAIL@autoturn.force9.net top download the mail.
Will I be able to specify the ISP's mail server in the "Forward all messages to host" such as AUTOTURN.FORCE9.NET?
Does it mean I can not use ETRN if my ISP has suggested using FINGER
