disable computer account password sync in AD/mixed

Have a situation with imaging computers. Take a complete image of a machine and 30 days later after imaging the machine I receive "could not establish trust relationship" error. This is generated becaue the computer account password is set to default sync every 30 days. Once the active machine syns this password my image is out of date. 2 questions.

1. How do I disable this in on win2k server, active directory, mixed mode (2k/nt4.0 environment)

2. Know of any "bad things" that could result from disabling computer account password sync?
