Hi,

I have a strange printing issue. When a client prints to a network printer, the client will hang and the status displayed is "unable to connect". When I connect to the server (Terminal Services) the server shows no problems with printers. In fact, when I print a test page from the server the print appears to go through fine. Nothing is logged in event viewer regarding problems.

The only way around this is to stop and start the spooler service. There is no regular time intervals. This happens 8 to 10 times a day.

Anyone seen this before? The printers reside on DC's.

Thanks,

Troy

Having the same problem. It's killing me. Have you found a fix?

Have you looked in the printers folder to see if the default printer for the users has changed? If it has, and the clients have not added that printer locally they wont connect.
Have had that problem with some clients and found that the default printer had some how switched to a printer that they had no access to.
