Hi,

I have intention to change the service account for my Exchange Server ver5.5 (SP2 applied).
This server is sitting on Winnt 4.0 (SP4 applied), which joined the domian as a member server.
I'm presently using adminstrator account as the service account.

Any suggestion in how can I go about doing this?

I discovered that in the service account password tab of the Configuration container Properties, the User Account
is stated as 'Local System'. Why is this so? Why not 'Administrator', which is presently the service account.

Any help is very much appreciated.

Thanks and Regards.

Lester

someone must have changed this (on purpose). exchange will not let you install unless you have a service account. go and change it to an admin account with all the rights if you want to keep your job. whomever in your company changed it doesn't like you or doesn't know shit. reboot now without change it and your exchange server will not start.
