Internet Mail Service

I am currently trying to configure the Internet Mail Service for our
MS-Exchange 5.5 server to receive SMTP messages from various unix hosts. Needless to say it is not working. Does anyone know anything about the Internet Mail Service configuration? What about DNS records? (A and MX)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

two points first IMS using SMTP protocol is indifferent to source or host as long as its SMTP being used. Without notification and configuration of an SOA record with the Internic Internet Mail service will not work. Contact your ISP for these activities.
