Hi folks,
can anybody provide some advice on creating an
additional/second SMTP address for users via importing a text file?

I currently create and update GAL info via a regular import
using the admin /i function. Our users have a default SMTP
address of given.surname@domain but we would also like to
provide them with an alias of employeenumber@domain. I can
create the second SMTP address via the Admin GUI but have not
been able to create it via the text file import.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Use a header record, a csv file, and make sure to include the proper field name. Make sure to include the alias field in your header record.
Then use the import directory utility in ExAdmin.

This will work.
