Hello,

I have a problem with outlook '97 professional as a client of windows exchange 5.5 sp4 server.
A employee overhere if he has started his e-mail account, he can via file, open special folder, server folder he can add a user-name and the inbox of some one else, he is able to read e-mails that are not for him.

Were can i block this situation.

It sounds like that user either belongs to a security group he/she shouldn't or you have given to much access to the groups he/she belongs to. What kind of access he/she has to the mailbox that they are able to view.

If for some reason he has not been given permissions granting him this access on the network side and it is only select people he is able to read e-mail of, you may check the properties they have enabled on their inbox. There is a checkbox in Outlook 97 to allow the folder to be viewable to other users. This is normally used in making the calendar viewable so that others might see your schedule but I've seen a person not realize they instead left their inbox viewable.
