Hi All,
Can somebody help me out with these two concepts in Windows 2000 Server. I am now really confused. When should one use basic and when should one use dynamic.
I am running Hardware Raid 5 and would like some help from those of you who have this sort of setup on your systems.
Let's say I initially created a raid 5 partition with say 100GB of space using a simple volume. Later on I insert another physical disk and added it to my raid 5 parition, what would happen? Would Windows Disk manager should this as free space on the same parition or would I have to add another volume. I don't have a spare system to play around with this so if someone could help me out with this, much appreciated.
