HI everyone,

I ran into a problem on NT 4.0 with sp6 where the mouse ring buffer overflow causing the PC to completely freezes up. I know there are registry fixes for this and I have tried it (increasing the MouseDataQueueSize), but that doesn't seem to work. Does anybody know what causes this and if there is anyway to fix this permanently? BTW, this has SMS 2.0 install as well.

From my experience, this error has nothing to do with the keyboard or mouse buffer overflow, but instead, has to do with the video card. Are you using a Asus Motherboard with Via chipset? If so, Nvidia, Elsa Gladiac and Quaddro Pro cards have chips that conflict with the Asus motherboard. Try another card and see if that problem goes away.
