edb date and time stamp

I am looking for verification from another newsgroup about how the date and time stamps work for the pub1 and priv1.edb files in e2k. I rebooted a w2k sp2 server running e2k on 5/31/02 and the above exchange files still have the same 5/31 date and time.

backups are running without error, not backing up the m: drive, not antivirus scanning the mdbdata directory nor the m: drive. Functionally, everything seems to be working fine. I am just concerned about the date and time of the physical .edb files.
