The Problem:
------------
I have 2 Exchange v5.5 (SP3) servers in one Site.
The first one sits on the internal LAN behind the firewall. It holds the private and public information stores (mailboxes, public folders.)
The second one sits on the DMZ. It *only* runs the IMS and talks with the first server.
The Question:
-------------
Is there a way to allow external clients (POP3 or IMAP) to access their mailboxes via the Exchange Server on the DMZ? Or do the POP3/IMAP clients need to touch the internal Exchange Server directly?
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!
Sincerely,
Glen Liu
