Hi,

i would like test the installation of Windows 2000 Cluster Service. However, the hardware available does not meet the requirements as specified at Microsoft, but can it be done with these:-

1)2 machines running Windows 2000 Advanced Server
2)Both with only 1 network interface
3)A network share on a laptop to act as the shared disk

If possible, how do i go about the configuration?

Any advice is much appreciated.

Hi nilocpay,
the only advice i could give to you is that your hardware did not support cluster functionality. You must have a SCSI device or maybe fibre channel for the shared disk. But you could test Cluster Services with a one node cluster if you use a SCSI controller (without system disk on it) and one disk in one of these machines.
