Dear All
I am trying to recover Exchange offline to a PDC built to the same spec as the live system. The only variations are: the live system has two other BDC’s in the domain, and there are two other sites within the same Exchange organisation.
After completing an off line restore of Exchange 5.5 with Backup Exec v7.3 the only Exchange services to start are Directory, and System Attendant. When I try to start the Information Store service a specific error 4021 occurs. I found a work around for this error – reinstall Exchange – when I try to do this ‘I get an insufficient permissions to do this’ error , (I am logged on as administrator).
When I try to open Exchange Administrator I get an error ‘A connection could not be made to the Microsoft Exchange Server computer ‘xxxxxxx’’
You do not have the permissions required to complete the operation.
