Hey there,
since this morning I've been trying to share my calendar. I have succeeded at this but not in the way I wanted it :-(.
First of all, I had to move my folder locations from storage on the local machine to the exchange server, once that was done I could set up other users to have access to it. However, unlike the email, I was unable to copy my already existing (local stored) calendar to the new (on exchange) folders. I could move the folder, but this would make me have 2 calendars, which is, not what I'm looking for. I'd like one calendar and only 1. We're thinking of doing this setup for the entire company so we can see who has what appointments. If there is a way to only create calendars on the server and connect them with the already existing calendars on the hosts themselves this would be great, especially if they could auto-sync since we have some notebook users that might not always be connected to the network. This would also save our network the load of us continuously reading some of the same emails (usually these are the "funny" emails with huge attachments that ofcourse have to be shown to the entire department, which is fine, but it generates a lot of traffic if they were to be stored on the server). If this isn't possible we would like the folders on the server but have them syncing with the local files, so 1. notebook users can still view/use their calendar when not connected. 2. E-mails already in the local box (ie synced to the local file) don't have to be downloaded again.
AFAIK point 1 should atleast be possible. About point 2 I don't know... It'd be nice but not mandatory.
Any advise is greatly appreciated. As you can see I'm a newbie :-)
